We are extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Old Collegian and SPC Legend Kevin George Renwick OAM (SPC 1946-47, PY1949) on 2 November 2022, aged 90 years.
Kevin was remembered as 鈥渢he hardest working many in the building industry鈥� and a man before his time who gave so much to the community and the building industry over 70 years of service and mentorship.
He is credited for being responsible for the construction of over 20,000 homes nationally and continued to work 60 hour weeks until recently.

Kevin was the founder of Hotondo homes as well as Renwick homes and the independent builders network. He was also the chairman of Hampton homes Australia.
He was the Victorian chairman for 18 years on the government鈥檚 housing advisory group and spent nine years as country chairman of MBA NSW.
Kevin was the largest Victorian government house builder in the 1980s and established with the Victorian government, the Group Self Build housing system.
Kevin was a boarder at SPC from Deniliquin and went on in later life to become mayor of his hometown for nine years. He also received an Order of Australia Medal in the Queen鈥檚 Honours in 2007 for service to the building industry, particularly through the development of small business opportunities, and to the community.
However, his daughter Marg recalled Kevin鈥檚 induction as a Legend of 每日大赛网址首页进入 in 2008 meant more to her father than any other honour.
He was a great supporter of SPC and made sure he managed to snap a photo of himself with his beloved Brisbane Lions鈥� team鈥檚 newest debutante, Kai Lohmann (SPC 2018-21) earlier this year.
Kevin was diagnosed with cancer and passed away peacefully in Southport, Queensland. Marg described her father鈥檚 鈥渟trength and willingness to fight this disease was like no other right to the end鈥�.
Kevin was the beloved husband of Noel, and loved father to seven, including Michael, Chris, Marg, Terry (dec), Martine, Toni and Tim and an adored poppy to 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
