Great to see this recent story on Old Collegians and brothers聽Ray (SPC 1965-67)聽补苍诲听Brian Donovan (SPC 1965, PY1967)聽in the Senior Magazine publication.
We heard from Ray recently, who let us know the two brothers were 鈥減retty good (and) going into our 37th year鈥� of transplant success after Ray donated one of his kidneys to Brian back in 1982.
Little did Ray know at the time, that he was helping to create a two-time world champion. At the age of 70, Brian took out gold in the Bowls Singles at the 2018 Australian Transplant Games. The Donovan brothers are a regular fixture at the Australian Transplant Games, which Brian co-founded with his wife Pauline in Melbourne in 1988.
